
Chlorine goes into the water supply to kill things, and it works. But it reacts with organic matter in the pipes and forms compounds called trihalomethanes.
They're already in the water before it reaches your house.

How much your skin absorbs compared to your lungs. Volunteers showered in wetsuits to isolate the routes. Both came out about the same.
